Groundwork's Green Doctors can help save money on energy bills 
Green Doctor is a service run by Groundwork, a group of charities working across the UK to respond to the needs of local communities and tackle fuel poverty. The organisation has trained energy-efficiency experts who provide vulnerable residents with advice and support that enables them to take control of their utility bills. Ofcom webpage to check if you're eligible for cheaper broadband
Social tariffs can provide a safety net for eligible households who may be struggling to afford their broadband or phone services. The broadband market offers customers a range of deals to suit different needs. Some providers offer deals to those who receive certain government benefits. Use the link to the Ofcom webpage and check which providers are offering social tariffs.
 
NHS website details the options for 'urgent care' in Sheffield
There are times you may need urgent medical advice or treatment but don’t need to visit the hospital’s A&E department. Using other services can often help you get the advice or treatment quicker. Use the link to visit this NHS website which has some very useful information on the options available for different situations and can help you choose the right urgent care.
 
Free webinar on 28 March to help bust some myths about Autism
To celebrate Autism Awareness Week, ACAMH are putting on this FREE webinar, to look at the evidence-base, focus on the facts, and bust some myths when it comes to Autism. It’s aimed at carers, parents, mental health and special education professionals, or anyone with an interest in Autism. Use the link for details and to book a place on the webinar.
 
SSENDIAS are running some weekly online sessions to the end of March
These events are aimed at parents or carers and young people as well as professionals. They cover the FAQs on subjects such as (1) SEN Support in Schools (2) Requesting a Needs Assessment and (3) checking a draft EHC Plan. 'Pushed to the Edge' reports on the recent Carers Trust research

This latest report draws on the experiences and expertise of over 1500 unpaid carers. It helps give voice to those who too often feel they are neither seen nor heard by those with the ability to improve their lives and the lives of the people they care for. The report includes a range of direct quotes from unpaid carers, which make for powerful reading.

 
Survey about the Neurodevelopment Programme service in Sheffield
This survey is from the NHS Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group with input from a range of other local organisations. They would welcome feedback from parents and carers to help them improve the services provided in Sheffield for young people with Neurodevelopment needs and conditions. This book highlights the real-life experiences of a Sheffield carer
Melanie Pearson is a former carer who registered with the Carers Centre and currently works part time for the Age UK memory cafes. She knows from real-life that carers come to the role through different routes, but many share the same experiences. This book is a personal account of the impact it had on her and her family.
