An invitation to join one of our free workshops for carers in October
Our 'Activity and Workshop' programme is designed to help carers share experiences and learn new skills. As well as activities to help with a break from caring, we invite experts to present workshops around topics that support people in a caring role. Sheffield has been given £37m to improve primary care buildings
Most of this money could be used to build new health centres in areas that need them most, bringing together GP and other services all under one roof. The NHS and GP practices in Sheffield want to know your thoughts on the proposal. Use the link for more details and to take part in the public consultation before 9 October. Carers can contact our office for help to 'have your say'.

Carers invited to join the steering group looking at Long Covid
Healthwatch Sheffield and Voluntary Action Sheffield are researching the current support offered to people living with Long Covid in the City. Equal care and support for stroke survivors and carers
Do you have lived experience as either a stroke survivor or a carer - and would you like to make sure stroke services are equal and fair for all? The South Yorkshire 'stroke survivor and carer panel' are looking for new people to join and share their experiences so services might be improved. Use the link for more details about the panel and how you can become involved.

Do you care for a non-speaking autistic person?
The Autism Partnership Board is developing a strategy to make Sheffield an autism-friendly city. They want to ensure that non-speaking autistic people have an opportunity to share their views on what they need to live the life they want to live. If the person you care for would like to give their feedback, use the link for details of how to contact Kate Damiral at Sheffield City Council.

Our sincere thanks for Her Majesty's devotion to charities and causes
As partners of the Carers Trust, we echo the sentiments on their webpage. Our condolences to the Royal Family and our gratitude for the example of her Majesty’s life.
